The Mediating Role of Self-Differentiation in the Relationship Between Moral Distress, Compassions Fatigue and Work-family Conflict in Nurses

Background & Aims: Many nurses are involved in work-family conflicts due to the nature of nursing profession and high workload. Identification factors related conflict can help reduce or control this conflict. Compassion fatigue moral distress some that may affect nurses. This study aims determine mediating role self-differentiation relationship between compassion fatigue, among Materials Methods: is a descriptive-correlational study. The population includes all married from eight public hospitals Kerman, Iran. Of these, 159 were selected using convenience sampling method. Data collected subscale professional quality life scale, inventory-short form. They analyzed structural equation modeling. Results: could significantly predict (P<0.05). Self-differentiation was not only directly conflict, but also indirectly affected it by reducing fatigue. Conclusion: skills stress thus their conflicts.
